She completed a chaplain internship at Princeton Baptist Medical Center; then served the congregation in Tuscaloosa as its first ministerial intern, under the tutelage of Rev. Fred L Hammond. She has worked alongside community and state organizations such as Alabama Arise, Faith in Action Alabama, and Black Lives Matter Magic City, and served as UUCB’s delegate to the Unitarian Universalist General Assembly in 2016. Rev. Dobbins has accepted a position in Salt Lake City, UT, as the First Unitarian Church‘s assistant minister; she brings to this ministry a deep commitment to social justice mission and the transformation of our faith.
