Summer Religious EducationIn Search Of Dr. Seuss Lovers to Lead Summer Religious Education Classes So tell me: What do The Cat in the Hat , The Sneetches , and The Lorax have to do with UU Principles? Well, everything! To find out more, we need you to do two things: 1) make sure your kids come to Religious Education classes this summer when you are in town, and 2) make sure to sign up to lead a class at least one Sunday! We plan to have two levels – Nursery-Preschool and Elementary. Middle and High Schoolers are warmly invited to sign up to co-lead a class, or are welcome to come and assist any day they are here during the summer. Books, craft & snack materials, plus lesson plans will be provided. All leaders will be asked to sign a Code of Ethics on the morning of the class. Closer to the time, we will determine meeting times for each class. Participants will be expected to attend all sessions. The Mid-South District Religious Education Committee is sponsoring an ALL LEVELS Our Whole Lives training the weekend of August 22-24, 2008. It will be held at the Calvin Center ( www.calvincenter.org ), a retreat and conference center just south of the Atlanta airport in Hampton, GA. Three tracks will be offered: Elementary (K-1 and 4-6) Junior and Senior High (7-9 and 10-12) Adult (new Young Adult and Adult) The program will begin early Friday evening and end Sunday afternoon.
