Finding the Sacred in Direct Experience is the focus of this Sunday’s sermon. Mandy Goheen, UUA Ministerial Candidate, is our speaker. In this intergenerational worship we’ll explore together how the little things create opportunity for sacred moments in our everyday lives. How do those special moments happen? What is the science behind the feelings of warmth about particular times in our life? And most importantly, how can we create more opportunity to experience beauty in times such as these.
Mandy Goheen is a ministerial candidate who graduated from Starr King for the Ministry last year. She is the Director of Prison Ministry at the Church of the Larger Fellowship(CLF) where she provides programming for over 890 CLF members living in prisons across the country. Mandy grew up in Ohio but has lived in Alabama off and on for eleven years. She is the proud parent of six children who she refers to as her greatest teachers.
