Social justice is concerned with the fairness with which society treats groups and individuals. We seek a better understanding of social justice and we network with other groups–religious, interfaith, educational and other organizations to identify and correct social injustices.
Our Justice committee works with our Worship Associates committee to plan our monthly “Justice Sundays,” focused on a particular justice issue. We select recipients for our monthly “Share the Plate” program, channeling donations to deserving social justice organizations that reflect our principles. We regularly bake casseroles for Pathways and provide meals for the Firehouse Shelter each month.
