Our Whole Lives (OWL)
OWL (Our Whole Lives) is an award-winning, comprehensive sexuality program co-created by the Unitarian Universalist Association and the United Church of Christ. It works with all ages, from kindergarten to adulthood, helping people make informed decisions based on their own clearly-defined values and accurate information.

K-1 OWL
This program supports parents in educating children prior to fourth grade about birth, babies, bodies and families. Following a parent meeting and parent/child orientation, the eight sessions engage children using stories, songs and activities.
4th-6th Grade OWL
This eight session program focuses on the physical and emotional changes of puberty. Participants read “It’s Perfectly Normal” by Robie H. Harris and examine topics such as values and sexuality, communication and decision making.
Junior High OWL (grades 7-9)
This sexuality education program for youth models and teaches caring, compassion, respect and justice. A holistic program that moves beyond the intellect to address the attitudes, values and feelings that youth have about themselves and the world.
High School OWL (grades 10-12)
Using a comprehensive approach, this program helps senior-high youth gain the knowledge, life principles and skills they need to express their sexuality in life-enhancing ways. Includes a parent orientation and 12 sessions.
Young Adult OWL (ages 18-35)
This program helps participants navigate young adulthood with accurate information, increased self-knowledge, enhanced safety and strengthened interpersonal skills.
Adult OWL
Using values, communication skills and spirituality as starting points, this program explores sexuality issues for adults of all ages. Builds understanding of healthy sexual relationships, affirms diversity and helps participants accept and affirm their own sexuality throughout their lives.
